MISSION STATEMENT

DrDWellnessAddict.com was established to help YOU achieve wellness by learning to make behavioral changes that are accessible, feasible, and enjoyable – all you need to begin is internet access.

We provide information on research supported self-care practices from both Eastern and Western wellness traditions. You will learn to develop and rely on your own intuition and to incorporate self-care to support treatment of disease states in your journey towards wellness. After reviewing the information on this site, you will become empowered to improve your health as well as sustain wellness long term. You will come to learn the data- but get to know your body.

Despite the advancements of Western Medicine, we are the richest yet sickest nation. The Western medical model is excellent at treating acute conditions – think antibiotics to treat infection, or surgery to fix a broken bone! But it too often fails to address the ninety-five percent of disease that is impacted by unhealthy lifestyle choices, poor or misinformed eating habits, inactivity, and unmanaged stress.

After more than a decade of clinical practice and teaching, as well as facing my own need to improve my well-being, I decided to create a FREE site and share information so you, too, can learn how to take back your health!

Whether you are struggling with a chronic condition, a symptom mistakenly associated with aging, or trying to recover from a lifestyle that is no longer serving you, this site will empower you to take back your health.
